We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Denver, Colorado. This role is essential for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload materials, move inventory, and assist with order fulfillment. A strong focus on safety is paramount, and all operators must adhere to strict protocols, including regular equipment checks, proper maneuvering techniques, and the correct use of PPE. This position requires experience, precision, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory location.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Practice safe lifting techniques when handling goods manually.
- Keep the work area clean and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience (minimum 2 years).
- Experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 70 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and at heights (if applicable).
- Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including proper PPE usage.
