We are hiring a Warehouse Associate for our facility in Detroit, Michigan. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, involving the handling of goods within our warehouse. Key responsibilities include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. We foster a culture of safety, and it is crucial that all associates understand and implement safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Accurately stock and organize inventory using the warehouse management system.
- Pick and pack customer orders with speed and precision.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with stock management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and protocols, including proper lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
