*Job Summary*
Currently a two doctor practice with one doctor retiring. This is an excellent opportunity to work for and then buy into a very successful private practice. Please contact us and the remaining doctor would love to talk to you about creating your dream practice together. We are open to employment and buy out options. This position is 4-5 days a week. Salary will increase for more days worked. Our community has excellent schools, endless outdoor activities and is growing rapidly with the addition of more energy sector jobs. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of ocular conditions. This role requires a strong foundation in ophthalmology, patient care, and medical record management, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to diverse patient populations. The Optometrist will work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced EMR and EHR systems to ensure accurate documentation and efficient workflow.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and ocular health using advanced diagnostic tools.
* Diagnose and manage eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and refractive errors.
* Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using EMR/EHR systems.
* Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and proper use of corrective devices.
* Collaborate with optical staff to assist with frame selection and sales when applicable.
* Perform vital signs assessments and utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety.
* Stay current with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology, and ophthalmology advancements to provide up-to-date care.
* Adhere to all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions to enhance clinical skills.
*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of ophthalmology, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
* Experience with optical practices, pediatrics, and patient care delivery.
* Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and record management.
* Excellent customer service skills combined with sales ability for optical product recommendations.
* Familiarity with medical coding standards relevant to eye care services.
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
* Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Competence in vital signs measurement and aseptic techniques during examinations or procedures.
