We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our bustling distribution center in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your role is vital to the smooth operation of our logistics network, ensuring that products are handled correctly and efficiently throughout the warehouse. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate various types of forklifts with precision. You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of goods, from raw materials to finished products. Effective communication with supervisors and team members is essential to coordinate tasks and ensure seamless workflow. The ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, is a plus. Your dedication to safety and efficiency will directly impact our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials and products.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and locations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping processes as needed.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Participate in inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Ensure that all lifting operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.
- Identify and report any hazards in the workplace.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Proven ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Experience with various types of forklifts is a plus.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Prior experience in a distribution center is highly valued.
