Our San Jose, California facility is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our vital warehouse team. This position is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong commitment to operational efficiency, and an unwavering dedication to workplace safety . You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and retrieve materials, ensuring inventory is stored correctly and accessible.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with accuracy and care.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform pre-operation checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any defects.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and put-away of received goods.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Follow all logistics procedures for efficient material handling.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated ability to handle **Lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, material handling techniques, and logistics .
- Excellent knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including potential overtime as needed.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
