We are hiring skilled Forklift Operators for our busy facility in Seattle, Washington. This role is critical for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating various types of forklifts, a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage locations, and ensuring materials are handled with care. Your expertise will directly impact the productivity and safety of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trailers and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and stage materials according to storage plans and safety regulations.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Adhere to all traffic rules and Safety guidelines within the facility.
- Maintain accurate logs of forklift usage and material movements.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock put-away.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times and follow all safety protocols.
- Support overall warehouse operations and contribute to team goals in a logistics environment.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid forklift operator certification or demonstrate proficiency. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is required. Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds, is necessary. A strong commitment to Safety is non-negotiable. You must have excellent spatial awareness and the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Reliability and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued.
