Our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma facility is looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our logistics team. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the safe and efficient movement of goods. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to receive, store, and distribute materials. This position requires a strong emphasis on safety, and all personnel must strictly adhere to PPE requirements. The role involves significant physical demands, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, operating machinery, and moving stock throughout the warehouse. We are seeking experienced, reliable, and safety-conscious individuals who can contribute to a productive work environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key player in our supply chain and logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from different warehouse sections.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated locations according to WMS guidelines.
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Ensure all lifting and material handling activities comply with safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Respond to material requests from other departments promptly.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating warehouse equipment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Material Handler or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and PPE usage.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including frequent heavy lifting.
- Good coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
