Join our logistics operations in Boston, Massachusetts as a Material Handler. This hands-on role is fundamental to the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and store materials. Accuracy, speed, and a strong adherence to safety protocols are essential. Proper use of PPE is required at all times. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of materials, operating machinery, and moving stock. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Move materials to and from production, packing, and shipping areas.
- Stack and organize materials in designated locations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Perform tasks involving frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the smooth flow of materials within the logistics chain.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting and operating machinery.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
