Are you an experienced Reach Truck Operator looking for a new challenge in Indianapolis, Indiana? We are searching for skilled individuals to join our fast-paced logistics distribution center. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of reach trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary duties will involve transporting products within the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement in racking systems, and assisting with order fulfillment processes. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety, and all team members are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position involves significant time operating machinery and performing tasks that require focus and precision. Experience with various types of racking and warehouse layouts is beneficial. The ability to perform tasks involving moderate to heavy lifting is also essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, pick, and stack products according to established procedures.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Proven experience operating reach trucks and other forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform tasks involving regular lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
