We are seeking a reliable and diligent Material Handler to join our busy logistics facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is critical for the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the movement, storage, and retrieval of various materials and products. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, organizing inventory, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a commitment to upholding our high safety standards. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times. The role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and operating equipment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas and to shipping docks.
- Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with order picking and packing when required.
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the correct use of required PPE .
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety .
- Willingness to wear and maintain required PPE .
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
