Join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas as a Material Handler! This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting materials, ensuring that inventory is organized and readily accessible. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. You will operate various types of material handling equipment to move goods safely and efficiently, playing a key part in our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Organize and store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational guidelines.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring compliance with Safety standards.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Perform tasks that require significant Lifting of materials up to 60 lbs.
- Support the overall logistics and flow of goods within the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving frequent and heavy Lifting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Knowledge of logistics principles and inventory control is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
