Seeking a dependable Material Handler for our busy warehouse in Detroit, Michigan. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our facility, involving the movement, organization, and storage of goods. You will be responsible for loading and unloading delivery vehicles, transporting materials to various workstations, and ensuring items are correctly stored to optimize space and accessibility. Operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified) will be part of your duties, requiring strict adherence to all Safety guidelines. The ability to perform consistent Lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs is essential for this position. You will be required to wear and properly use all provided PPE . Your role is integral to our overall Logistics strategy, ensuring a smooth flow of products from receiving to dispatch. We prioritize a safe and efficient working environment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated areas.
- Assist in receiving and putting away stock.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouse equipment.
- Report any damaged materials or equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies and Safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory counts as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
