Job Summary:
Join our bustling logistics hub in Seattle, Washington, as a Shipping Clerk! In this role, you will be the orchestrator of outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying order details, and coordinating with carriers. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential for success in this position. You'll work closely with warehouse staff and management to streamline the shipping process and contribute to overall operational excellence. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing lists.
  • Verify outgoing orders against documentation for accuracy.
  • Schedule and coordinate with freight carriers for pickups and deliveries.
  • Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
  • Operate shipping software and technology systems.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure proper packaging and labeling.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory discrepancies and reporting.
  • Support the warehouse team in other shipping-related duties.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
