Community Sports Partners is seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Manager . In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and enhancing our market presence within the sports sector. You will play a key role in hunting, identifying, and driving growth. This hybrid role blends leadership, execution, and entrepreneurial thinking—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, growth‑focused environment.
Requirements- Proven experience in business development across the GTA
- Competitive drive to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Strong networking and relationship‑building skills; ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships
- Excellent organizational skills, utilizing tools and platforms effectively
- Hands‑on approach with a proven record of follow‑through and delivering results
- Ability to work cohesively across the entire business team; multidisciplinary understanding of business operations
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of FRI‑managed facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, train, and manage facility staff to deliver exceptional service and operational consistency.
- Implement and monitor KPIs and systems to track facility usage, staffing efficiency, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards across all locations.
- Lead negotiation, drafting, and execution of rental agreements, user agreements, and all FRI‑related contracts.
- Work collaboratively with legal and executive teams to standardize agreements and mitigate risk.
- Maintain a central repository of agreements and ensure timely renewals, terminations, or renegotiations.
- Lead responsibility for accounts receivable and treasury collection efforts.
- Drive business development by cultivating new leads and optimizing existing venue usage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with user groups, municipalities, and strategic partners.
- Oversee pipeline of new schools, municipalities, and acquisition targets.
- Support financial modelling efforts (in partnership with the Financial Team), specifically inputting revenue projections.
- Project management duties.
- Lead innovation through the roll‑out of systems like RecRivals, ensuring adoption, feedback, and partner success.
- Collaborate with Operations on staff hiring/firing decisions, with Operations providing oversight and support.
- Work alongside the Financial Team to provide necessary financial and operational input for investor communications.
Compensation: competitive based on experience
