Your roleAs a Senior Project Manager, you will lead major civil infrastructure projects from preliminary planning to occupancy, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Develop strong client relationships and lead projects from beginning to end to achieve our client’s goals and objectives;
- Lead program and project planning, scheduling and budgeting, consultant tendering and selection, and contract administration efforts;
- Regularly report to the client on project status through schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records, and other reports;
- Manage and coach project staff allocated to your projects, peer‑reviewing their deliverables and continuously developing their knowledge and capabilities;
- Chair client, project and site meetings, find resolution to issues, and coordinate between multiple stakeholders;
- Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project‑related administrative documents;
- Ensure client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects, representing the client’s best interests in contractual and technical matters;
- Select and organize project teams and establish levels of authority and lines of communication.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, delivering civil infrastructure projects (e.g., water, roads, bridges, ports, transit);
- Recent experience delivering projects in the civil infrastructure sector, advising and working collaboratively with senior stakeholders (permitting jurisdictions, project funders);
- University degree or diploma in civil engineering or related discipline (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience);
- Deep understanding of the civil infrastructure landscape in Canada;
- Strong knowledge in program and project planning, scheduling and budgeting, project delivery methodologies, and contract administration;
- Experience with preparation of Requests for Proposals, tenders, and tender closing/award procedures, and response to Requests for Proposals;
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel);
- P.Eng. and PMP designations considered an asset.
