This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative Java Developer to join a fast-paced Systems Engineering Group, contributing to the development and enhancement of the applications. This position plays a key role throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a primary focus on supporting and improving custom-built internal applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing technology uplift initiatives and implementing functionality enhancements requested by business stakeholders. It is a contract position with potential for extension, offering a competitive pay rate and a dynamic teamwork environment.

• Location: GTA (Hybrid)

• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Participate in the full SDLC, including coding, debugging, and deployment.
• Implement unit tests with JUnit to ensure application stability and performance.
• Integrate APIs with external systems while maintaining responsiveness and security.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Deploy applications using Docker and support ongoing application enhancements.

• Minimum seven years of hands-on experience in application development and debugging.
• Strong proficiency in RESTful API development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of security, data protection, and high-performance API design.
• Proven experience writing unit tests using JUnit and working in Agile environments.
• Familiarity with Docker, Jira, and version control practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage directly with end users.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
