Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience with software development in Swift or Objective‑C, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with Android application development.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
About the Job

Google's software developers develop the next‑generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. As an iOS Application Developer on the Extended Reality (XR) Experiences team, you'll build key experiences, primarily integrating audio and video calls into Google's XR projects for iOS. You'll need to be passionate about user‑centric applications with experience in Three‑Dimensional (3D) spatial presentation, hardware, camera, and sensor functionalities. Our XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap— the convergence of AI and XR.

Compensation

For United States Applicants: The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $141,000‑$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

For Canada Applicants: The Canada base salary range for this full‑time position is CAD 144,000‑148,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Write product or system development code.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Triage and resolve system issues while updating technical documentation and educational content to reflect product changes and user feedback.
