The RoleWe are seeking a Full Stack Machine Learning Engineer who sits at the intersection of Data Science and Software Engineering. You will not just build models but also design the systems that run them. This is a hands‑on role for a builder who cares about code quality, system scalability, and the business domain. You will lead the design and implementation of production‑grade ML systems, ensuring our models are robust, scalable, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities- Production-Grade Systems: Build and maintain high‑scale ML pipelines using big data technologies (Spark, BigQuery, Delta Lake). You will write production‑ready code that is reliable, testable, and maintainable.
- Platform & Infrastructure: Leverage modern ML platforms like Vertex AI or Databricks to orchestrate workflows. Optimize models for both batch/offline training and real‑time/streaming inference with a focus on low latency.
- Domain Deep Dive: Go beyond the algorithms. Deeply understand the specific domain challenges (e.g., fraud detection, location spoofing) to engineer better features and network‑level intelligence.
- Engineering Excellence: Champion best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and documentation. You will ensure our ML systems are built to software engineering standards, not just research scripts.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a technical lead for projects, defining milestones and ensuring on‑time delivery. Mentor Data Scientists on engineering best practices and collaborate with other engineers to integrate models into the wider platform.
- You identify as a “Full Stack” practitioner. You have strong fundamentals in Software Engineering (system design, algorithms, clean code) AND Data Science (statistical analysis, model selection, evaluation).
- You have a proven track record of running ML models in production at scale. You don't just hand off a model file; you can write the code to wrap, serve, and scale it.
- You possess a growth mindset and actively embrace AI in your own workflow. You leverage AI‑assisted tools (e.g., Claude Code, LLMs) to accelerate development, refactor code, and solve problems efficiently. You practice what you preach.
- You have hands‑on experience with Databricks or Vertex AI, and are comfortable building pipelines in these environments.
- You are self‑motivated and can work independently to drive complex technical initiatives from concept to completion.
- You have excellent English communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and collaborating effectively across teams.
- You have a strong interest in deep diving into domain knowledge to uncover hidden trends and anomalies.
- Experience specifically in fraud detection or anomaly detection.
