Operational Engineer - Amazon Connect & AWS Infrastructure

• Customer has an immediate requirement for an CCaaS developer under Contact Centre Infrastructure (CCI).
• This role will be within the CCI Operations development team which is accountable for continuous service improvement to Amazon Connect.
• We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Engineer with expertise in Amazon Connect and AWS infrastructure to join our dynamic team.
• The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing, optimizing, and securing our cloud-based contact center and associated AWS services.
• The individual will have an in-depth knowledge of cloud contact center technologies, development skills and a broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure needed to address security, stability, and supportability of services.
  

• Design, implement, and maintain Amazon Connect environments and associated AWS services
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and updates
• Configure and optimize Splunk for log management and analysis
• Set up and maintain CloudWatch monitoring and alerting systems
• Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications
• Implement and enforce security best practices and governance policies across AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues
• Automate operational tasks and create dashboards for performance monitoring
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, preferably with AWS
• Strong knowledge of Amazon Connect and its integration with other AWS services
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• In-depth knowledge of Splunk for log management and analysis
• Expertise in CloudWatch monitoring and alerting configuration
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster management and containerization
• Strong understanding of security best practices and governance in cloud environments
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  

• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
• Experience with contact center technologies and telephony systems
• Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools
• Familiarity with agile methodologies
