The Role

Custom Software Engineering (CSE) team hiring for two positions: 1) Display Abstraction Layer (DAL) engineering; 2) Kernel Mode Driver (KMD) engineering. You will debug and resolve issues on desktop and mobile platforms, work with prototype hardware, and improve overall software quality.

The Person

The ideal candidate is passionate about software engineering, has advanced debugging experience, and leads complex issues to resolution. You are systems‑and‑data‑minded, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and communicate effectively across teams. Experience with AI model integrations or optimizations is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced debugging skills to investigate and close DAL/display or kernel driver issues.
  • Collaborate with teammates to understand design architecture and propose fixes or enhancements.
  • Stay informed on software & hardware trends, especially in kernel driver space.
  • Develop technical relationships with peers, architects, and partners.
  • Share subject‑matter expertise with the team.
Preferred Experience
  • Strong background in C/C++ and object‑oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of display technologies or graphics kernel driver features.
  • Expertise in debugging, root‑cause analysis, and fix implementation.
  • Knowledge of AI software frameworks.
  • Attention to detail and ability to write high‑quality code.
  • Windows OS architecture knowledge of kernel subsystem.
  • Experience with Windows debugging methodologies.
  • Concurrent programming and threading API experience.
  • Familiarity with development tools such as GitHub, debuggers, profilers.
  • Effective problem‑solving, critical thinking, time management, and prioritization.
  • Self‑driven and sense of ownership.
Academic Credentials
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
