Benefits:
Competitive salary, £4,200 car allowance or £3,700 cash equivalent, full family private healthcare, annual bonus potential, generous annual leave of 27.5 days (plus bank holidays), increasing to 30 days after 10 years’ service.
Permanent, full‑time, 41 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexibility required.
National role – regular travel to various sites expected.
About the role
Work actively as part of the Design Engineering team, partnering to modernise and refine existing processes while driving new, innovative solutions within current workflows to improve business performance.
Identify future opportunities to harness in‑house manufacturing capability for key engineering design elements.
Champion new processes to boost in‑house capability, innovation and people development within engineering.
Collaborate closely with maintenance teams to infuse reliability into the existing automation fleet.
Promote the business culture: Be Positive, Be Brilliant, Be Part of It, and drive professionalism, positivity and engagement across all areas of RM Engineering.
About You
A minimum of a Level 4 (NVQ or equivalent) qualification in an electrical engineering discipline.
Experience in detailed product design and development within an automated environment.
Strong engineering background with proven ability to demonstrate intuitive thinking towards problem solving and solution delivery.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and design packages (e.g., Autodesk).
A proven track record of meeting product development deadlines and quality targets.
A proven record of delivering improvements and initiatives in challenging environments.
