Summary of Functions
The People's Place Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the People's Place program. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Behavioral Health Clinical Director to provide supervision, administration, and implementation of the People's Place Family Resource Center.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProgram Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily operations of the People's Place program.
- Ensure program activities comply with Tribal, State, Federal, and grant requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and update program policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews, documentation audits, and incident follow-up.
- Manage facility operations, supplies, equipment, and overall program readiness.
Staff Supervision & Development
- Supervise Peer Counselors and support staff, including scheduling, timekeeping, and performance support.
- Provide orientation, training, and ongoing development for staff and volunteers.
- Support Peer Counselors in maintaining their certification and fulfilling their job responsibilities.
- Promote teamwork and culturally grounded, trauma-informed care practices.
Resident/Participant Support & Coordination
- Ensure services are culturally appropriate, person-centered, and consistent with recovery principles.
- Coordinate with Behavioral Health, Indian Child Welfare, and other Tribal and community partners.
- Maintain knowledge of community resources and support appropriate referrals.
Administrative & Program Development
- Complete required documentation, logs, reports, and administrative tasks.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and collaborative Tribal or community meetings.
- Support development and coordination of the People's Place program activity calendar.
Additional Duties
- Provide after-hours or weekend support when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program success.
- Peer Counselors
- Direct care/support staff assigned to People's Place
- Peer Counselor Certification or ability to obtain certification within required timeframe
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human services, behavioral health, or a related field
- Knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes, Tribal systems, confidentiality laws (HIPAA / 42 CFR Part 2)
- Strong organizational skills and professional communication skills
- Ability to work within trauma-informed, culturally grounded, recovery-focused frameworks
- Valid Driver License and insurability under Tribal policy
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- HIV/AIDS training
- Hepatitis A & B vaccinations
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed
- Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs
- Extended periods of computer and desk work
- Frequent walking, standing, and moving throughout program spaces
- Primarily office and residential program settings
- Possible exposure to tobacco smoke
- Occasional outdoor or community-based work
- Moderate noise levels

- High School or better in High School/General Educa
