Experienced Fine Dining Server

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fine Dining Server to provide exceptional guest service in a upscale restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-end setting. You'll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers' experiences.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
• Present menus, explain specials, and recommend wine or beverage pairings to enhance the dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items and suggestively promote specials to increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in throughout the meal and addressing any concerns promptly
• Process payments accurately through cash handling or cashiering systems, including POS transactions
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining areas, assist with bussing and resetting tables as needed
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
• Uphold food safety standards and sanitation protocols at all times

Experience

• Proven experience as a fine dining server or in a similar upscale restaurant environment
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast and OpenTable is highly desirable
• Strong background in food industry standards including food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Previous experience with upselling techniques and sales-driven service approaches
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse clientele
• Experience in hospitality settings such as high-end restaurants is a plus
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for cashiering and transaction processing are required
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
• Responsible and trustworthy
• High school diploma is a plus but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $2.13 per hour
