Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to foster a welcoming atmosphere
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
• Clear tables, bussing dishes quickly to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing
• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings like nightclubs
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with guests and create memorable experiences
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks seamlessly during busy hours
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations to ensure guest health and safety
• Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding menu items and food preparation processes
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining professionalism and guest focus
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and managing tabs effectively
• Experience with serving in hospitality settings such as host/host roles or food industry positions enhances your ability to excel in this role
