Housekeeping Supervisor

The Springhill Suites Milwaukee Downtown is seeing a detail orientated team leader to fill our open Housekeeping Supervisor role. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility. This position involves overseeing housekeeping staff, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are performed to the highest standards, and providing exceptional service to guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housekeeping, leader of people, and a commitment to upholding hospitality excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including scheduling and training staff.
• Ensure all areas of the facility are cleaned and maintained according to established standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
• Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Implement effective cleaning procedures for various surfaces, including floor care and industrial cleaning practices.
• Foster a positive work environment by mentoring staff and promoting teamwork within the housekeeping department.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning techniques and floor care methods.
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of housekeeping management principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results consistently.
