JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Project Manager will proactively and systematically progress through basic levels of understanding in key project management competencies while assisting the Program Manager with Outside Plant (OSP) telecom projects throughout the planning, design, and permitting. The Associate Project Manager must capably drive the project by effectively influencing internal and external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Develop accurate project plan, scope and budget for all assigned projects using the internal tracking system.
• Manage all assigned customers and projects from inception to completion ensuring efficiency while staying within budget
• Meet project deadlines and customer commitments in a timely manner
• Lead internal and external meetings with team members for project updates and align with forecasted deliverables.
• Manage internal team to complete assigned project on time, to specifications and with accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage, lead, monitor and supervises internal team to achieve goals
• Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
• Attend onsite/virtual customer meetings to provide customer with comprehensive project status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.
• Build and manage relationships with existing clients to access new work opportunities.
• Prepare quotes and PO's for new work opportunities
• Ensure maintenance of all project files, invoices, and accurately close-out documents, including invoices, within project deadlines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of telecom experience; preferably project management and/or fiber.
Customer-facing project management experience
Strong MS Office suite skills
Advanced knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management
Advanced knowledge of Public and Private right of way project deployment, including regulatory and permitting processes.
Ability to read and understand blueprints along with civil inside & outside plant construction methods or tower/roof top structural details.
Ability to direct the diagnosis of workflow problems, critical paths and institute remedies
Ability to read and understand financial metrics and identify remedies to financial issues
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Pay: $75, $85,000.00 per year
