Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Systems & Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Minot, ND. We're growing to support a large multi-year project in Minot need experienced low-voltage professionals, certified (or NICET-track) fire alarm technicians, and hands-on problem solvers who take pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail, and doing things right the first time.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and service fire alarm, access control, intrusion, and video surveillance systems.
• Run and route low-voltage cabling and conduit.
• Mount, wire, and terminate panels, sensors, devices, card readers, and electronic locks.
• Program, configure, and test system components to ensure full functionality.
• Work alongside contractors on major commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Provide end-user training and system orientation upon project completion.
• Follow all jobsite safety, code, and compliance requirements.
• Perform additional installation and service tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire alarm, low-voltage, or electronic security systems.
• NICET certification preferred (or willingness to obtain, with support).
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Positive attitude and the ability to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 50% (depending on project needs).
• Excellent time-management, organization, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fire alarm or low-voltage certifications.
• Experience with VESDA or specialty detection systems.
• Basic project management knowledge.
• Additional technical skill sets (IT, networking, access control, etc.).
• Trade school or higher education in a related field.
