SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The PRS/PSR Team Lead provides support and guidance to their Community Supports team. They provide clinical and administrative guidance to those who report to them. While providing administrative assistance, they also provide services and handle a caseload themselves to best serve the community and individuals in need.

PRS/PSR services are designed to restore, rehabilitate, and support an individual developmentally appropriate functioning as necessary for the integration of the individual as an active and productive member of their family and community with the goal of achieving minimal on-going professional intervention.

Services assist with implementing interventions on a treatment plan to compensate for, or eliminate, functional deficits and interpersonal and/or behavioral health barriers associated with an individuals behavioral health needs. Activities are "hands on" and task oriented, intended to achieve the identified goals or objectives as set forth in the individual's individualized treatment plan. The goal is Personal and Community Competence.

Essential Functions (Job Duties)

Lead Role:

1. Provides daily direction and communication to employees.
2. Provides continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers.
3. Provides performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis to each team member.
4. Is available for employees who experience work and/or personal problems providing appropriate coaching, counseling, direction and resolution.
5. Ensures employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs.
6. Responds to and resolves employee relations issues expressed by team members.
7. Creates and maintains a high-quality work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level.
8. Assists the manager with daily operation.
9. Works as a member/leader of special or ongoing projects that are important to the department
10. Establishes work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards, procedures and strategic directives.
11. Uses appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding department or employee concerns.

For Adults:

1. Provider of rehabilitation support recover oriented activities, interventions and skill development necessary for the individual to improve self-management of and reduce relapse to substance use, the negative effects of psychiatric or emotional symptoms that interfere with a person's daily living skills that are critical to remaining in home, school, work, and the community.
2. Assist individual to identify a meaningful life role goal and objectives through a person-centered process.
3. Train in coping skills to address symptoms, manage stress and reduce exposure and vulnerability to stress.
4. Assist in identifying trauma triggers.
5. Assist in developing healthy coping alternatives especially to anger and challenging situations.
6. Encourage personal autonomy through stress management skills, recognition and coping with mental health symptoms.
7. Encourage development of ways to manage free time.
8. Assist in navigation of transportation.
9. Guide in understanding and managing chronic medical conditions.
10. Engage in further development of health social skills.
11. Educate in wellness activities.
12. Teach and strengthen daily living skills.
13. Encourage development of financial management strategies.
14. Assist in pursuing, securing, and retaining, integrated, competitive employment as identified related to a chosen life role.
15. Assess on-going progress toward recovery and functional skill development.
16. Maintain all required documentation in a timely manner.
17. Communicate and report to Supervisor.
18. Actively participate in timely completion of assigned trainings.

For Children:

1. 1. Consulting with collaterals, with the client's permission, toward the end of improving client outcomes while assisting them in addressing their goals.
   2. Provide psycho education with the goal to restore and support community tenure and avoid more restrictive placements, enhance personal relationships, establish support networks, increase community awareness, develop coping strategies toward effective functioning in all relevant environments.
   3. Teach and strengthen daily living skills to assist with self-management and reduction of the effects of psychiatric emotional, physical developmental or substance challenges.
   4. Assist in developing wellness skills.
   5. Support personal autonomy skill development.
   6. Enrich personal skills.
   7. Develop health skills.
   8. Identification of personal interests and hobbies.
   9. Assess on-going progress toward recovery and functional skill development.
   10. Maintain all required documentation in a timely manner.
   11. Communicate and report to Supervisor.
   12. Actively participate in timely completion of assigned trainings.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. 40 hours per week.

Workweek schedule: Crisis Stabilization Center is a 24-hour operation. Schedule determined by supervisor to meet location/departmental needs.

Hours and schedules may vary depending on Company need and workload. Employees will be given as much advance notice as possible when such changes occur.

Travel

Frequent.

Area of coverage: North Country Region.

Required Education and Experience

1. For Adults: High school diploma or equivalent and a least 1 year of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and/or serious mental illness OR bachelor's degree and 1 year relevant experience.
2. For Children: High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of relevant experience working with children involved with mental health, addiction and/or foster care.
