Production Associate

Job Overview:

Produce and install all types of high-quality signage and deal with the public in a courteous and professional manner. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to produce high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

• Mask, weed and apply vinyl to substrates.
• Must be able to use an X-Acto knife, type measure, ruler and production tools efficiently.
• Properly load and operate a hot/cold pressure laminator following standard safety precautions.
• Load and cut vinyl on a plotter.
• Output digital rigid and roll signs.
• Operate a vertical panel saw using standard safety procedures.
• Operate a board trimmer, print trimmer or other finishing equipment.
• Maintain machinery and all department tools and equipment, managing machine logs coordinate maintenance and repair calls with vendors.
• Greet customers and answer phones in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
• Travel to different locations within the community to preview work areas, give estimates and install various types of signs.
• Apply vehicle and window graphics.
• Keep a running inventory of all stock and supplies.
• Complete training of the following: Front Counter Sales, Sign Product Training, Sign Production Techniques
• Maintain an organized, clean and professional shop floor and store appearance at all times.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines

• Inspect finished products for quality control purposes

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Qualifications:

• Experience with wide format imaging – roll and rigid printing and precision finishing
• Understanding RIP software and colour management
• Must be computer knowledgeable and willing to learn to be proficient in various software programs.
• Must also pass basic math and spelling tests.
• Must have a valid drivers license for minimum 3 years
• Physical Demand: Must be able to climb a ladder while lifting signs.
• Physical Demand: Must be able to place onto and retrieve various types of substrates from a substrate rack including the upper shelves.
• Physical Demand: Must be in good physical condition and be able to lift over 50lbs.

Education: Required:

High School Diploma

Preferred: Certifications or Experience with a focus of Print or Creative Design
