The Solder Technician is responsible for performing daily tasks of soldering, value add, inspection, assembly, rework, touch ups and ensuring production standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solder through hole and SMT components.
- Complete thru-hole assembly of product with respect to quality, part usage, and other requirements.
- Execute assembly procedures to produce circuit board assemblies from schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
- Touch up solder joints on through hole components as required
- Rework thru-hole and SMD components as required.
- Final box build, press fits and hardware installation.
- Perform in-process inspection to verify work is completed within applicable IPC standards.
- Epoxy, RTV, UV Curing, UV Material Application, potting application.
- Communicate among quality, production team, and engineering groups.
- Follow all quality system procedures for TouchPad's production processes, and implement improvements when identified to drive compliance and efficiency.
- Comply with all ISO 9001:2015, 5S, and other applicable standards; ensure department compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or 5+ years of work experience
- Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude along with good hand-eye coordination
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Ability to display confidence and positivity.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to act with integrity and commit to behaving ethically and morally showing consistency in actions, values, principles, and expectations in alignment with the organizations mission, vision, values, and pillars.
Environmental and Physical Requirements:
- Regular standing, sitting, use of hands/fingers to perform daily assigned work tasks, and verbal communication.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Infrequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds; lifting and/or moving weights more than 100 pounds with the use of a pallet jack.
- Strong visual abilities required for close proximity viewing, color identification, depth perception, and ability to adjust microscope focus.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise level.

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
