Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ – Onsite

Type: Contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for end users. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows/macOS operating systems and standard applications
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
• Support email systems, MS Office, VPNs, and collaboration tools
• Manage user accounts, passwords, and access rights (Active Directory)
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and antivirus updates
• Respond to service desk tickets and ensure timely resolution within SLAs
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams for issue resolution
• Provide on-site and remote support to end users

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in Desktop / IT Support
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking concepts
• Experience with Active Directory, Outlook, and ticketing tools
• Good understanding of hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with macOS and mobile device support
• Knowledge of ITIL processes
• Exposure to SCCM, Intune, or endpoint management tools
