$63,000 - $70,000 annualized,

Position Summary
The Senior Event Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and flawless delivery of group and convention events while on property. This position serves as the primary liaison between clients and hotel operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, financial performance, and adherence to Hilton brand standards. The Senior Event Manager provides leadership and direction within the Convention Services/Event Management function and plays a critical role in guest satisfaction, team development, and revenue optimization.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Oversight
- Provide senior-level oversight of all in-house group and convention programs, ensuring seamless execution from arrival through departure.
- Lead by example in promoting a service-driven culture aligned with Hilton standards and resort expectations.
- Foster a collaborative, professional work environment that maximizes productivity, accountability, and employee engagement.
- Ensure full compliance with Hilton brand standards, franchise requirements, and all departmental policies and procedures.
Client & Event Management
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for meeting planners, group coordinators, and hosts, maintaining a visible and proactive presence throughout the event.
- Conduct pre-convention meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to confirm event details, expectations, and service delivery plans.
- Coordinate and manage client requests, last-minute changes, and on-site adjustments in alignment with operational capabilities and departmental standards.
- Escort clients throughout the property as needed, showcasing resort amenities, meeting spaces, and available services.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all hotel services, facilities, and local attractions to respond confidently and accurately to guest inquiries.
Financial & Strategic Accountability
- Manage event details to ensure contracted revenues are protected and opportunities for upselling and enhancement are maximized.
- Maintain awareness of event budgets, concessions, and revenue goals, supporting the successful financial outcome of each program.
- Partner closely with Sales, Catering, Banquets, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure alignment and accountability.
Systems, Standards & Communication
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all event documentation, including Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and related communications.
- Support the consistent execution of daily operational procedures within the Sales and Convention Services/Event Management function.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, leadership, and colleagues, ensuring expectations are understood and met.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive experience in Event Management, Convention Services, Catering, or Hotel Sales, preferably within a full-service or resort environment.
- Prior experience managing complex, multi-day group programs strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead through influence and collaboration across multiple departments.
- Ability to present information effectively to clients, teams, and leadership.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple variables in fast-paced environments.
- Working knowledge of room set styles, standard banquet equipment, capacities, and proper handling procedures.
- Proficiency with sales, catering, and event management systems and tools.
- In-depth understanding of Banquet Event Orders and the translation of client needs into operational execution.
- Knowledge of local attractions and activities appropriate for group and convention clientele.
Work Environment & Scheduling
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts based on business needs.
