Position Summary:
IHI is working to finalize our strategic plan for the next 3-5 years. The Project Manager – IHI Strategy will develop and manage the comprehensive project plan to effectively implement and deliver IHI's strategic plan. This limited-term, internal-facing position reports into the Strategy Analyst.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop, manage, and report on workplans and budgets to achieve desired objectives and financial goals in a timely manner
- Monitor project progress, provide status updates, and act as the main communication link between project teams, IHI Management, and other stakeholders
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate or lead project-related meetings as necessary to meet project outcomes
- Assign and assure clarity of roles and responsibilities for key stakeholders
- Identify, address, and escalate potential roadblocks and risks
Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with project management tools, resources, and applications
- Knowledge of formal project management techniques and best practices
- Project management skills, including ability to manage details under aggressive timelines and tracking through dashboards, reports, etc.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage project schedules
- Budgetary and financial management skills
- Excellent communication (both interpersonal and written) and change management skills
- Ability to act strategically and holistically to achieve desired results
- Ability to motivate teams to achieve common goals
- Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced or ambiguous environment
- Ability to balance and prioritize work across project streams
Ability to apply a "continuous improvement mindset" to systems, processes and approaches
Ability to facilitate meetings, discussions and decision making to reach desired outcomes
Ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels and work independently when necessary
- Ability to navigate difficult situations, including seeking input from colleagues, escalation, and problem solving
- Ability and willingness to learn and use new systems and technology

Position Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5 years of previous work experience in a professional environment with at least 3 years of project management experience
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience using project planning tools, resources, and software
Preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Intermediate proficiency with Netsuite, Smartsheet, and MS Planner
- Interest in health care and quality improvement
Physical Attributes:
- Ability to Sit for Extended Periods: Capability to work at a desk for long durations
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using a computer, including typing, mouse handling, and other office equipment
- Visual Acuity: Ability to read and view a computer screen for extended periods
- Hearing and Speaking: Clear communication over phone and video calls
- Environment Setup: Access to a quiet, professional home office setup conducive to focused work and virtual meetings
- Lifting: Occasionally requires lifting up to 25 lbs as needed
