Dental Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
• Maintain aseptic technique to ensure a sterile environment for all dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Manage patient records using the Open Dental system software.
• Schedule appointments and manage the front desk as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
• Perform basic dental coding for insurance purposes and present treatment plans.
• Maintain HIPPA and OSHA standards
• Sterilization of dental instruments
• Keep inventory

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and dental terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with Open Dental is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Punctuality
• Ability to take proper dental X-Rays.
• Always willing to learn.
