We are looking for a highly skilled Solution Architect to bridge the gap between our technology and our clients' operational needs.
The Solution Architect / Implementation Consultant is a critical client-facing role responsible for the successful scoping, design, and deployment of our solution for utility clients. This role requires a blend of deep technical understanding, strong business acumen, and excellent consultative skills. You will act as the primary technical advisor during the sales and implementation phases, ensuring that our solutions meet the specific operational and regulatory requirements of the utility industry. You will also collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure the core product supports our customers' integration needs.
Key Responsibilities
Consulting & Design
- Discovery & Scoping: Lead technical discovery sessions with utility clients (e.g., Grid Operations, Asset Management, Customer Experience teams) to understand their business challenges, data landscape, and desired outcomes.
- Solution Blueprinting: Design and document end-to-end technical solution architectures, outlining data flows, integration points, cloud requirements, and configuration specifications for our platforms.
- Technical Advisor: Serve as the subject matter expert on our products, demonstrating how they integrate into complex utility environments.
Implementation & Deployment
- Project Execution: Own the technical success of the implementation phase, including system configuration, data ingestion strategy, integration testing, and deployment hand-off to the client and/or internal support teams.
- Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks during implementation and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Project Management teams to develop mitigation strategies.
- Product Feedback: Synthesize client feedback and industry trends to inform and influence the product roadmap for future features relevant to the utilities sector.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solution Architect, Implementation Consultant, Technical Consultant, or equivalent.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience designing and implementing complex enterprise software. Familiarity with data integration techniques (APIs, ETL, message queues) and modern cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Consulting Skills: Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% for client meetings and project kick-offs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Experience (Highly Preferred): Direct past work experience within the Utility, Energy, or Power generation/distribution sector (e.g., electric, gas, water), or significant experience consulting for these organizations.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with common utility operational processes and systems (e.g., Grid Operations, Distribution Management Systems (DMS), Asset Performance Management (APM), Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)).
- AI/ML: Prior experience with AI/ML concepts.
