Assistant Teacher – Infant/Toddler Classroom
The Learning Experience – Andover, MA
Pay: $19–$20 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
About The Learning Experience
The Learning Experience – Andover is seeking a warm, dependable Assistant Teacher to support our Infant and Toddler classrooms. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with young children and is looking to grow in the early childhood education, daycare, or childcare field. Our center provides a nurturing, play-based environment where infants and toddlers learn through exploration, sensory play, and meaningful interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Lead Teachers in maintaining a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
- Assist with daily care routines: diapering, feeding, napping, transitions, and supervised play.
- Engage infants and toddlers in early learning activities, including sensory experiences, music, movement, and language development.
- Help keep the classroom clean, organized, and aligned with EEC guidelines.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Follow all Massachusetts EEC childcare licensing and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in a daycare, preschool, nursery, or childcare setting preferred.
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus (not required).
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Must meet EEC suitability requirements.
