Great Lakes Division – Harbor Light Program   Position: Site Operations Manager
Reports To: Site Administrator
FLSA: Exempt
Pay Grade: TBD
Position Summary:
The Site Operations Supervisor is responsible for preparing staff schedules, monitoring safety and security, conducting inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Supervisor ensures compliance with contract requirements, assists with non-clinical client issues, and provides support during emergencies.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Orientate and train all support specialists/facility technicians/maintenance/food drivers
  • Prepare and maintain staff schedules, while verifying and approving hours worked
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding supervised staff
  • Recommends hiring and disciplinary actions to Site Administrator
  • Monitor staff, clients, residents, community supporters, and visitors
  • Assist in providing for client safety and security
  • Conduct all inspections and emergency drills as required by the Harbor Light System
  • Ensure urinalysis screens and property searches are completed per contract requirements
  • Oversee the maintenance of all records and reports kept by Support Specialists in SAM
  • Responsible for ordering all client food and personal supplies
  • Address non-clinical issues with clients (i.e. quality assurance such as food/rec activities)
  • Assist clinical staff in investigating client grievances and complaints
  • Responsible for providing all reports as directed by Site Administrator, Clinical Supervisor and Human Resources Manager
  • Provide direction to staff for unusual or emergency situations with input from Site Administrator if needed
  • Participate in case conferences, giving input on client behavior and client rules
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    Qualifications:
    Education/Experience:  
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of practical experience as a Supervisor
  • Knowledge of addiction recovery preferred
  • Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:  
  • Ability to communicate effectively through spoken and written word
  • Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email and internet
  • Experience using electronic medical records system preferred
  • Certificates and Licenses:  
  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
  • Valid Michigan Chauffeur License and approved by The Salvation Army MVR
