Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to join our team and be the first impression made on guests when they enter the restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, excellent customer relations skills, and familiarity with POS systems such as Toast, & 7 Shifts, Open Table & RESY. This role involves providing attentive service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and managing guest reservations. Previous experience in fine dining and hospitality settings is highly valued. The hostess will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while efficiently managing their reservation book along side the host/owner.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service
• Take accurate food and beverage to-go orders
• Manage Resy reservations
• Take walk-in to-go orders
• Assist with manicuring tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and wine or beverage pairings
• Follow all health regulations related to food handling and sanitation protocols

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant industry, or hospitality preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems including TOAST, OpenTable & RESY is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
