Infant Teacher

We are seeking a caring, dependable Infant Teacher to join our growing childcare center. This role supports the daily care, safety, and development of infants in a licensed childcare environment. Infant Teachers work closely with the Floor Supervisor and Director to maintain ratios, routines, and a nurturing classroom.

This position is ideal for someone who is patient, attentive, and passionate about early childhood care.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants in accordance with Texas Child Care Licensing standards
• Maintain required teacher-to-child ratios at all times
• Support feeding, diapering, napping, and daily routines
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
• Observe and document infant behavior, milestones, and daily activities
• Communicate respectfully with supervisors regarding children's needs
• Follow all health, safety, and supervision guidelines
• Participate in required trainings and staff meetings

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience with infants preferred (childcare center or similar setting)
• Ability to meet Texas Child Care Licensing requirements (background check, fingerprinting, training)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Work Environment

• Fast-paced, nurturing childcare setting
• Requires standing, bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and active supervision
