Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Marketing Manager, located in Troy, MI, with flexibility for remote work. We seek a results-oriented, analytically minded individual to execute our marketing strategy and oversee day-to-day marketing operations. The ideal candidate will use data-driven marketing techniques to support member acquisition, retention, and engagement across our educational platforms and investment communities. This role will manage our team of on-staff and contract marketing professionals and collaborate cross-functionally with the education, technology, and member services departments. Reporting to the CEO, you'll be responsible for implementing marketing initiatives and ensuring consistent execution of our marketing programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a management or senior individual contributor role
  • Experience in SaaS subscription-based business models
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to use data to drive marketing decisions
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion optimization
  • Proven success with customer segmentation and email marketing personalization
  • Experience managing social media platforms and campaigns, with an understanding of platform-specific best practices and analytics
  • Background in content marketing strategy and execution, including editorial planning and content performance measurement
  • Familiarity with customer retention strategies and lifecycle marketing
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and emerging GEO strategies
  • Experience managing contractors or external marketing resources
  • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Passion for financial education and empowerment; investment industry or personal investing experience valued but not required
  • Non-profit experience preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement member lifecycle marketing programs, with a focus on improving conversion at key drop-off points
  • Create and manage personalized email campaigns with dynamic content and behavior-based triggers
  • Monitor member retention metrics and implement tactics to reduce churn
  • Implement behavioral segmentation initiatives and track lifetime value metrics for different member segments
  • Create and manage content marketing initiatives, including blog posts, educational resources, and thought leadership pieces that support member acquisition and engagement
  • Develop and execute social media strategy across key platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube) to grow audience and drive member engagement
  • Execute SEO strategies and emerging GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) tactics to improve visibility in traditional search engines and AI-powered platforms
  • Optimize website content for conversational and voice search queries
  • Monitor and manage our online presence across search platforms and protect brand positioning
  • Provide regular reporting on marketing performance, membership trends, and revenue metrics to support budgetary planning
  • Execute pricing strategies and conduct A/B testing to optimize member acquisition and revenue
  • Manage marketing budget and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation
  • Oversee and coordinate work of contract marketing professionals (designers, copywriters, specialists)
  • Evaluate and manage marketing technology stack, recommending updates as needed
  • Collaborate with leadership to align marketing execution with organizational goals
  • Develop and execute social media strategy across key platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube) to grow audience and drive member engagement
  • Create and manage content marketing initiatives, including blog posts, educational resources, and thought leadership pieces that support member acquisition and engagement
