Underwriting Assistant

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Assist underwriters and brokers with daily administrative and operational tasks.
• Review and process submissions, applications, and supporting documentation.
• Enter and maintain accurate client and policy information in internal systems.
• Prepare quotes, binders, policy documents, and renewal materials.
• Communicate with carriers and clients to obtain missing information and resolve inquiries.
• Track policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory underwriting guidelines.
• Support the team in reporting, data analysis, and documentation management.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of experience in insurance, underwriting, or brokerage support preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with brokerage management systems (e.g., EPIC, Applied, TAM) an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
