We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Permanent Modular Construction (PMC) team. Reporting to the Manager, Preconstruction Services, you will play a key role in planning, scoping, and estimating project opportunities. You'll work closely with Business Development to prepare well‑designed, technically sound, and cost‑effective proposals that position us for successful contract awards. This is a full‑time, permanent, in‑office role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Development to understand client needs, define project requirements, and plan a clear response strategy, including internal roles and timelines.

  • Participate in pre‑bid activities, including site visits, scope reviews, and early project assessments.

  • Prepare and manage proposal documentation, such as RFP packages, Scopes of Work, Schedules, and Division of Responsibility documents for internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants.

  • Lead tendering and estimating activities, including issuing bid packages, conducting bid analyses, identifying scope gaps, and compiling complete project estimates.

  • Develop conceptual project schedules using MS Project or Primavera for bid submissions and refine them upon award.

  • Support contract and project startup, including contract review, internal startup documentation, and handover to the Execution Team.

  • Champion safety, quality, and client satisfaction by upholding ATCO's HSE standards and ensuring a positive experience for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and support additional tasks as required.

Who You Are

  • Hold a degree in Engineering or a related technical diploma; designations such as PEng, CET, CTech, PTech, or RET are preferred (or you are working toward one).

  • Bring 2+ years of progressive experience in construction project coordination or management, with exposure to large building projects in both urban and remote settings.

  • Have experience in Design‑Build or construction management, including working with consultant teams.

  • Are familiar with contract negotiations, estimating, scheduling, and financial planning for design‑build projects.

  • Understand permitting processes (SPA/DP, BP, trades) and the National Building Code.

  • Have experience with MasterFormat divisions for cost coding and estimating.

  • Excel in client management, communication, and negotiation.

  • Are proficient with MS Project, MS Office, SharePoint, Teams, and Procore.

  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, presentation, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Thrive in a fast‑paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to results.

  • Are comfortable with occasional travel to remote project sites.
