Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, suggest upselling opportunities, and recommend wine or beverage pairings to enhance guest experience.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Manage cash handling, process payments accurately through POS systems, and provide correct change or receipts.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies to answer guest questions confidently.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling, serving, and bussing duties.
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes and resetting tables for incoming guests.
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members including hosts/hostesses, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to deliver seamless service.
• Uphold sanitation standards in line with health regulations, including proper food handling and cleanliness practices.
• Utilize reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings when required.

Experience

• Previous restaurant experience is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub backgrounds are a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude that makes guests feel valued from start to finish.
• Experience in upselling beverages or menu items to increase sales opportunities.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation regulations is essential for maintaining a safe environment.
• Ability to multitask effectively while managing time during high-volume shifts in fast-paced settings.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, bill splitting, and processing payments accurately.
