Pay & Benefits

Pay Range: $17–$23 per hour , depending on experience and certifications

Your Role & Impact

As a Certified Medication Aide , you'll work under the supervision of licensed nurses to ensure medications are administered safely and clients receive attentive, ethical care during detox and early recovery.

What You'll Do

  • Administer oral, inhaled, and topical medications under nurse supervision
  • Verify client information and record vital signs
  • Observe clients for medication reactions and report concerns promptly
  • Assist nurses with client care, observation, and communication
  • Document medication administration accurately in the EMR
  • Maintain medication and medical supply inventory
  • Ensure equipment is functioning, clean, and properly maintained
  • Support nursing and admissions teams as needed
  • Uphold confidentiality, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Attend required trainings, meetings, and continuing education
  • Represent Briarwood/Nova Recovery with professionalism and compassion



Work Environment

  • Residential detox and addiction recovery setting
  • Locations include North Austin and Wimberley
  • Collaborative healthcare environment
  • Regular use of computers, phones, and medical equipment



Schedule & Availability

  • Full-time position
  • Schedule assigned by nursing leadership
  • Facilities operate 24/7, 365 days per year
  • Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and varying shifts



Travel Expectations

This role may require travel between North Austin and Wimberley locations , as well as other Nova Recovery facilities within Texas. Flexibility is essential to supporting client care needs.




What We're Looking For

Active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
CPR Certification
Experience in detox, residential treatment, or healthcare preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology
Strong communication and documentation skills
Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
Ability to work independently and under pressure
