We are seeking an experienced and certified Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in San Francisco, California. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials safely and efficiently within our warehouse. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods and contribute significantly to our operational success. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of forklift operation, warehouse procedures, and a deep commitment to safety. You will be required to perform daily pre-operation checks on the forklift to ensure its optimal working condition and report any issues immediately. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount and strictly enforced. This position involves significant dexterity and the ability to maneuver equipment in tight spaces. You will collaborate closely with warehouse associates, material handlers, and supervisors to coordinate material movement and fulfill orders promptly. Experience with various types of forklifts is a plus. Accurate inventory management and the ability to follow direction precisely are key requirements. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Accurately pick and stage orders according to instructions.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Follow company policies and procedures for warehouse operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform significant lifting and manual tasks.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
