We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to manage operations at our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility. This key role involves overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency in receiving, storage, and shipping processes. You will be responsible for coordinating staff, managing inventory levels, optimizing storage space, and ensuring all logistics operations run smoothly and safely. Strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems are essential. You will also play a crucial role in implementing and enforcing safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment. This position requires proactive problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Experience with PPE management and training is a plus. The ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required. This is a challenging and rewarding role for an individual passionate about logistics and supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff and daily operations.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular audits and system updates.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of all stocked items.
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layouts and organization.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Manage shipping and receiving schedules and coordinate with carriers.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Monitor and control operational costs within the warehouse.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) effectively.
