Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new challenge in Seattle, Washington? Our growing logistics company is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical for maintaining the flow of goods within our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks to move materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with inbound and outbound goods.
- Transport materials from receiving and storage areas to designated workstations or shipping docks.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and other equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Follow all logistics and shipping documentation procedures.
- Provide support to other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification/license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse work.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety principles and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory control procedures is advantageous.
- Must wear provided PPE at all times.
