We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy warehouse located in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders, ensuring that the right products are selected and prepared for shipment. This is a key position within our logistics operations, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. The Order Picker will use scanning equipment and follow pick lists to gather items from various locations within the warehouse. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is crucial, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The role involves considerable physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, and lifting products of varying weights. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy. Experience with warehouse order picking systems is beneficial, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists and scanning equipment.
- Locate products within the warehouse efficiently.
- Ensure correct items and quantities are picked for each order.
- Package items securely for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry products (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics setting.
