We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is integral to the daily operations of our warehouse, contributing to efficient inventory management and order fulfillment. You will perform a variety of tasks including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. A strong commitment to Safety and the ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting, are essential for success. This position offers a great opportunity to gain experience within the logistics industry. Consistent use of PPE is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Pick and pack orders accurately based on customer requirements.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform manual Lifting and moving of products, up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse or general labor experience is a plus, but not required. Must be able to perform frequent Lifting, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to Safety are crucial. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately. Basic reading and math skills are necessary. Familiarity with warehouse logistics is beneficial. Must be willing to consistently wear and use required PPE. Teamwork and good communication skills are important. Reliability and punctuality are expected.
