We are seeking dedicated and reliable Picker/Packers to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets, carefully packing items into appropriate shipping containers, and preparing orders for shipment. This role demands a keen eye for detail, efficient time management, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will work closely with other warehouse associates to meet daily targets and contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations. Emphasis will be placed on proper handling of merchandise to prevent damage. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse setting, although we are willing to train motivated individuals. Understanding of warehouse safety protocols is crucial, and all employees will be required to wear appropriate PPE. This position involves regular lifting of packages up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into boxes or other shipping materials.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required.
- Meet daily productivity and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Ensure proper PPE is worn at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
